Amy completed an LLB and a BA in Theatre Studies/English at the University of Otago in 2007. She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in September 2008 and worked in Auckland before joining Parker & Associates in June 2012.
Amy specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution with a focus on large, complex multi-party claims. She has a wide range of experience including in construction (leaky building) litigation; negligence, Fair Trading Act and misrepresentation claims; representative (class) actions; contractual, property and commercial disputes; insolvency and debt collection; and estate disputes.
She has appeared in the Weathertight Homes Tribunal and the District and High Courts, as well as assisting as junior counsel in mediations, judicial settlement conferences and defended hearings in the Weathertight Homes Tribunal and High Court.
Amy is an active member of the NZLS Wellington branch women in law committee and a member of the Wellington Women Lawyers’ Association. Outside work, she performs regularly in improv shows and enjoys spending time with her young family.
